history of retouching vol#2 – artist and computer (1976). on the cover, artist duane m. palyka digitally painting himself with a wacom tablet ancestor produced by summagraphics corp that was called 'bitpad one digitizing tablet' and was sold at the very reasonable price of $5,000 dollars (apparently $28,000 today).

we acquired this book years ago from an australian ebay seller for less than £10. they kindly attached a plastified eucalyptus leave, some postcards and a handwritten note sending aussie greetings.
